About

Armond Budish, Cuyahoga County Executive, has dedicated his life to serving the people of Ohio and Cuyahoga County.  As Cuyahoga County Executive, he has been able to display that he truly does believe that together we thrive. After winning the election in 2015, he invested in better medical care and transportation services for seniors and worked to improve their quality of life. People suffering in poverty were provided opportunities by the programs created by Budish that launched hundreds of businesses. Our communities are safer because of the Crime Gun Lab Budish created to get dangerous weapons and criminals off the street for our families.

In 2006, he was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives to represent the 8th district. Then Budish became the first Jewish Speaker of the House in State history, and the first speaker from Cuyahoga County in 70 years, when he was elected to the position in 2009. He affected positive change during his time as Speaker of the House and has continued that mission as Cuyahoga County Executive.

When he founded the law firm Budish, Solomon, Steiner, & Peck in Beachwood, OH, in 1993 he specialized in elder law, which gave him insight and experience that would help him be an advocate for seniors later on.

Budish attended Swarthmore College where he was elected student-government president, then went to New York University Law School where Budish was able to hone in his skills and refine his mission to serve the people of Ohio, and the county he was was born and raised in, Cuyahoga County.
